Caporn Piling was proud to play a key role in the Cape River Bridge Upgrade, a vital infrastructure project enhancing road safety and accessibility along the Gregory Developmental Road between Charters Towers and Emerald. Part of the Government's $77 million investment, the upgrade ensures improved freight access, reduced road closures due to flooding, and safer driving conditions for local communities.

Project Scope

  • Installation of:

    • 88 precast concrete piles (550mm diameter, up to 21m long) for the new bridge structure.

Equipment Utilised

  • Woltman THW 7528-D for precision piling.

  • Manitowoc M12000 crane for heavy lifting operations.

  • 16T Hydraulic Impact Hammers for efficient pile driving.
