Sportsman’s Creek Bridge, Lawrence, NSW

The Sportsman’s Creek Bridge is a vital infrastructure upgrade, providing a 175-metre-long, seven-span concrete bridge with a 4.7-metre navigational clearance. As part of the Bridges for the Bush initiative, this project enhances connectivity between Grafton and Lawrence, improving transport efficiency and supporting regional growth.

Project Scope:

  • 23 bored piles ranging from 750mm to 2200mm in diameter

  • Pile depths reaching 36 metres

  • 21 piles on land, 2 piles over water

Project Value:

  • Approximately $3,500,000

Equipment:

  • BG28

  • 110t Crawler Crane

  • Workboat

  • ICE 110C Vibrator

  • 3 x 12m spans of Temporary Access Bridge

Working alongside Delaney Civil, Caporn Piling played a key role in delivering this crucial transport link, ensuring improved accessibility and long-term benefits for the Northern Rivers region.
